Today is National Unicorn Day. On windows pcs today we could use the microsoft copilot to create these mythical creatures.

So I figured today I would build a unicorn that I would love to see in my office. I used the AI generator to create this unicorn in a steam punk style with rainbow mane and tail and steampunk wings. I actually really like the image it created.
ART
Generating art with AI is different from anything I have ever really done before. I am used to drawing and coloring things on my own. To be honest, nothing looks as good as the artwork I generated from the AI today. I am struggling with the question though is it really art? I told an application what to do and it interpreted my ideas into an image. So in that respects is the AI Copilot the artist or am I?
I guess in the grander scheme of things neither is really art until an individual, living, breathing and bleeding can make the work themselves whether it is on a computer or doing it through another means. The AI is nothing more than my words displaying an image through interpretation. A lot can be lost in interpretation.
As I got more detailed in wanting it to modify the picture it would become less and less effective in giving me my wants. I kept seeing what I wanted in my own imagination but not through the AI interpretation. So my thoughts are that while I love the freedom that AI applications give me to do some fantastic pieces, I am always going to love a hand created item better because I can feel and see the love generated in the piece which is missing from AI created works.
